just wondering and not sure but, can you use a wire, speaker wire, from the HU wire harness as a remote turn on. figured i might be able to splice in a new wire to the speaker wire as a remote turn on. this is probably the dumbest o all ?'z...but i need to know and need to be enlightened. thanks

If you mean use speaker wire for a remote wire, yes. If you mean connect an amp's remote to the HU's speakers, no. The remote needs to be DC 12 volts, speaker outputs are AC.

Which amp and which speakers? What crossover are you using? You may be fine so long as you never push the volume too hard.

The correct answer is yes, you want both left and right so you get low end information from both channels. It is very common for recording...
