hu in arm rest storage or 3sixty.2?

i saw a guy put a double din dvd receiver where the glove box used to be. looked like a whole lot of customizing, but possible. rerouting the wiring looked like the least of the work. i'm kind of a jimmy rigger but i would get wires the same color as the factory, cut the harness off, run the wires to where i want then connect the harness back up. might be a better way, but that's my way.

06 civic si, i'll either stick it in the arm rest or the glovebox. I'm not lookin for perfect and i can make a custom fiberglass thing with the left over i'll have from my sub box. Also i'll use samecolor wires and solder + heat shrink. would this work?

i'm looking to wither get a premier p780mp for $300 or p880prs for $340 which should i go for and why?, personally i like the 780 because it's a one knob wonder so it'll be easir to operate when not directly in front of me...

I would say put it in the arm rest, I've seen some located there, and they were were pretty cool. I was also planning on putting on in my car, but I am selling it, and now I have a truck with a bench seat, so that's out of the question, also the glovebox would be a good idea, if you keep your remote handy. With a single DIN head unit, it would be really easy without much customizing, and rerouting wires there would also be a breeze.

thanks man, what do you think about the p780mp and 880prs? i hear the 880 has better sq but how much better? would i notice?

New mounting kits are available for that vehicle. They replace the entire dash panel and are matched to the factory colors.
in my opinion the single din dashes are ugly as hel l and so are the double din ones. also i am doing this for security reasons so i would like to keep it stock.

i think if you buy the 3sixty.2, that should be pretty much all the processing you need. as you mentioned, time alignment, 31 band eq per output (10 for the sub i believe), automatic eq and if you want to go actively the 3sixty.2 has a 3 way xover. if you plan on going with a 3 way front stage, the h701 would be your best bet though. if you are sticking with a 2 way front stage, the 3sixty.2 has it all.

so get the 3 sixty instead of 880prs?

if you got the money, i take it over the 880prs. it can be integrated with any hu. you dont need to mount anything in the glove compartment. just keep the rockford in your trunk and you will be set. just remember that you need a pda to control it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.
