HT Subwoofer Suggestions

I'm looking to upgrade my HT substage. I have 7.2 cubes ~21hz and 500 watts to play with on 2 12's. I was considering the Maw-12, RE RE12, or some of the new AA assassin 12's. Anyone have any other suggestions or input on which of these may be the best choice for my application. The box size isn't set in stone..another one can always be built, but it's always nice being able to reuse instead of throwing it away =)

Forgot to mention I need a 4ohm final load. Was trying to keep the price to under/around 200 (give or take) shipped. None of the lower end daytons come with a VC config that will work with my amp. =( Thanks for the suggestion though. Any others?

Why 2 12" woofers?

On 15" Dayton RS HF or DVC would rock in that enclosure tuned to ~17-18.

The Dayton DVC is dual 8 ohms, wired parallel it will give you a 4ohm load.

this subwoofer is very similar to the Adire Tempest.

doesn't have to be 2 12's...just the box i currently have. the more i think about it though the more I want a bigger sub to be in charge of the lows =)

I'll take another look at those daytons..any direct links of the spefic ones you may be talking about? 15 or 18 you think? ;-)

If you want a nice low ported HT sub, then I would find a used but good condition 15" or 18" Avalanche.

Edit just notice that one is sold. Put up a WTB. These drivers should still be in production for HT DIYs IMO.
