You have to be wayyyy more than strong to hit a 502ft HR regardless of the metal bats. Being the best HS baseball prospect in the country as a Sophomore in HS means you are way more than average.Hitting 502 foot hr with pitches right down the middle with an aluminum bat just proves you are strong. When he gets to the league it will be interesting to see how good he actually is. I doubt he is anything more than average.
Major leagues are different. Wooden bats are heavier and the ball doesn't travel as far off of them. Also, i doubt he can hit major league pitches effectively for homeruns. Highschool players cannot throw a major league style offspeed pitch, at all.You have to be wayyyy more than strong to hit a 502ft HR regardless of the metal bats. I understand that perfectly, i played a high level of baseball until 2.5 years ago when i had my career ender(Torn rotator cuff... Then Tommy John surgery).Major leagues are different. You should probably just stop now and realize that endofdays is like super amazing at baseball and this kid sucks compared to him.I understand that perfectly, i played a high level of baseball until 2.5 years ago when i had my career ender(Torn rotator cuff... Then Tommy John surgery).
Its just the simple fact of having the bat speed, arm strength, and running speed @ his current age is what makes him so special. He might be another hyped up high schooler who fails or he could be another baseball phenom(like Griffey/Arod) were when they came out of high school.
word. i'm not really into sports, but even i can recognize the difference between high school, collegiate, and professional levels of sports. right now i assume he's just a cocky freshman thinking he's the shit and is the all star of all the games he plays. but its a completely different game in college, and i assume just as big of a change in the major leagues.I think most of these people in here are haters to be honest. The kids got a talent that not many people have. However i do think it would be stupid to skip highschool to go to the majors. I'm currently playin college baseball and trust me the level of play going from highschool to a division 1 college is crazy thats all i gotta say. More power to him if he can make a name for himself in the majors.
