I dont think MMA is gay by any means, but i dont respect it as much as boxing... simply because its just a fight... boxing is an art. the "sweet science". but like i said, thats just how I feel.

MMA= You got to use you head a bit more, thinking.

Boxing = You just stand there and take it.

Whats the art in boxing. All the fights I see on tv espn. They swing for a bit then hold each other until ref pulls them apart. Repeat last step, You cant even throw an elbow while your in there like MMA.lol

I've always been more of a boxing fan, but MMA has grown on me over the past couple years. I definitely enjoy watching both of them.

I prefer MMA over boxing. Takes way more practice to learn how to do a flying arm bar or Brazilian jujitsu than it does to toss a few punches at some stationary dudes head.

mma is just as much as an art as it is in boxing, except all these people these days make it look like a fight with no skill just cuz they seen movie on tv about it they think they can do it, the people with high levels of skills are the real mma fighters...i started boxing n still love it but one thing i like about mma is i get less injuries actually, boxers can find there selves just sittin there n randomly get noise bleeds cuz they take so much more punishment to there head, as for mma fighters they can get kicked or elbowed but are most likely less vulnerable to being hit in the head so many times...i train both but always loved boxing till i learned to kick properly n now i love the all around fight it makes it alittle more challenging

MMA just combines all of the best forms of fighting...

Boxing is legendary in itself.... BUT.... if a boxer got into a fight with a jujitsu style fighter.... the boxer is gonna get his *** kicked....

Boxing is to boring after a while.... The guy hit the nail on the head when he said all they do is swing and hold... swing and hold.... swing and hold...Where as MMA.... if you hold... you can body slam then, knee them.... Much More Exciting and thats why people are saying MMA is the new boxing, and boxing is on its way out.
