i swam with one of my old nokia phones when a boat sank in a local canal (dont ask). dried it out over night and it worked fine after , minus a small water spot under the screen.

I know you said don't ask....but were you the hero or the rescued?

 
That's the good thing about flash drives, they don't have mechanical parts so they are more durable and don't damage as easily. It should be fine as long as you wait an appropriate time for it to thorougly dry.

both. i was the hero , so i rescued myself.

wasnt my boat or motor so i wasnt the ******* trying to pull the thing to the side. i was so pissed.
