My thanks to BJ......no not a masterpiece of a box this time but he's the real reason i decided to step up my game building boxes and what-not. He inspired me to go out and buy a router, and some saws and a bunch of router bits. So now instead of blowing a shitload of money on things....i just build them. Here's a few things i whipped out this weekend.
Inspired on Friday night when i came home from work and my wife had 20+ pairs of shoes by the front door......its a 24 pair of shoes shoe rack for her and the kids. Now shes got me making one for her closet that will easily hold 50 pair. Just set it up to see how good it is...now gonna paint it for her
Now here is my first real big project....set of bunk beds for my boys. I priced good solid ones, since my boys like to tear shit up, and most were well over $1000 without matress'......by the time i'm done i'll have less than $400 including matress'....used 4"x4"s for the corner posts, 2" x 8"s for the rails . Gonna put 2x4 runners and 1/2" OSB for a mattress backer. Notched out the 4x4's with my router and tucked the 2x8 rail into the corners....gonna paint the whole thing when i'm done
and all that was inspired by BJ cause i wanted to make nicer boxes, then i realized that what i could do with wood working tools is endless
