How's this setup?

K so for now I'm going to get one IDQ and wire it to 2ohm untill I can get a 2nd and wire it to 1ohm. Also for now I will be powering the speakers with the head unit.

I'd go with a HU from any of these companies:

Alpine, Pioneer, Eclipse, and even Kenwood.

Boss makes poor quality Hu's. So does Kenwood, but theirs is a little bet better quality.

But if you're going to expand your system anytime in the near future, I'd say save up $200 more dollars and buy an Alpine 9887. It has amazing options and is one of the best units on the market.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P6900UB that I bought for $200 bucks IIRC, and this thing is amazing. HPF, LPF, USB and Aux.

Just be weary, though, Pioneer Head-Units have problems with something called a Pico Fuse which causes alternator whine. So, most people will recommend Alpine Head Units over Pioneer.

id get a different deck, 12" RE SE's and Audioques 1200d ($250)

in 1 cube, the SE will be about 1db louder than the IDQ and will sound the same sq wise and theyre around $150 each (ebay)

Kenwoods HU's arent low quality, look into an eXcelon some of those have the input
