Hows this look for a simple amp rack?

Just got the idea as im installing my amps tomorrow. Nothin fancy just tryin to keep the amps cool rather then have them on the carpet of my truck in hot florida. Thinking they will get a little more airflow to them.

Materials 2 rectangular pieces of 3/4 mdf

4 small wooden dowels to use to stack the amps.

prob end up painting black. Any input or ideas is appreciated.

looks like it will work nicely... if you really want to get the most cooling potential, i would make a cut out on the mounting board of both levels, to allow some air flow to the bottom of the amps... but thats just a suggestion... it will work well as designed

it seems like it will work. but get creative man.. i cant fit all three amps with my 26" wide back seats or whatever, so i had to get thinkin.

Drill holes for the dowels to sit in then screw them in the side for some support

counter sick the dowels 1/4 of an inch. then let them go through the top piece. cut out undersides of the amps for better cooling, and paint the dowels 1 colors, the rack another. at least itll be someone tricked.

im only doing it to get them off the carpet so they breathe a little better, also will keep the wiring organized since both amps will be in the same place.

Do the mounting holes line up? If so you can use metal rods to connect them so there is no board to mount the top amp to.

No. They are like solid metal dowels with screw holes on the end.
