How would I go about installing this..

This isnt exactly car audio related, and if it is too off topic I apologize. But anyways, I bought an LED light that I want to install in my dash to resemble an alarm system. Does anyone have any tips on installing this? I figure i can use 20 gague wire and hook it to the battery through the hole I drilled in the firewall to install my amp. Another wire has to go to an ignition switched terminal, but I am not sure how to find that. Again i realize this is off topic but if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated.
