how will this amp work out

Right now Im running a 10" PG sub on a very small Bazooka amp. The amp is really overheating and I know it is time to upgrade. I can get an Alpine MRD M605 600W rms for a decent price -used- and im thinking of powering 2 10" Type S subs. Is this amp a good choice or is it overkill?
