How will this amp hold up for type r's

I need an amp(s) for two 12" type r's with the right rms power output. I have a refurb rockford fosgate T1500-1bd CLASS D with 500 watt rms x1 at 2 ohm.

Do you think this is the right amp... I've gone through to many amps blowing shorting etc... I can't spend any more money and I need something that will last. What do you suggest: wow:

2 ALPINE SWR-1242D and what do u mean should I not put that knob up
First of all, That amp does:

500 watts x1 @ 4 ohms.

1000 watts x1 @ 2 ohms.

1500 watts x1 @ 1 ohm.

Those subs being DVC 4ohm subs will only allow your total load impedance to be 1 or 4 ohms. Obviously you can get more power out of running these subs at 1 ohm which will give you 750 per sub = more than enough.

However I would suggest you learn quite a bit more before you ruin such an expensive amp.
