How to wire two 4 ohm DVC subs down to 1 ohm?

Can someone give me a really good diagram showing how to make two 4 ohm DVC subs go down to 1 ohm. Thanks. PS i've looked on the internet, and different websites have different diagrams for the same thing for some reason. So I just need a legit diagram that will work. I am wanting to connect two 4 ohm DVC subs down to 1 ohm into my Polk PA600.1 mono amp. Also it is ok(maybe not the best) to use good quality 8 gauge wire to power the 600 watt RMS amp right....?

It's fairly simple

Each woofer has two positives, two negatives, right?

JOIN the positives together, and the negatives together on each woofer

Run a jumper from pos to pos and neg to neg on each woofer, got that. Next, run one pos one neg from each woofer and join the two woofer's positives and negatives together then wire them to the amplifier. One ohm load.

well the thing is that everything is already all wired up in my car with 8 gauge wire.....the wire says it can handle up to 1500 watts, it is by audiopipe.....can someone else give me there opinion on using 8 gauge

will there be a big difference in sound? What is the major benefit to going to 4 gauge if the amplifier is only putting out 600 rms? Is it worth the hastle of switching it?

Well without actually looking around for the voltage drop calculator, if your running too much power for the wire to handle, you'll experience a significant voltage drop, which will result in a db loss. But like I said, I didn't actually look for the calculator so I have no idea if you'll be seeing a voltage loss.

found it anyway...

number 16 has the calculators you need

EDIT: 8 gauge is borderline too small. If your alt charges at 13.8 the calc says it's too small, if it charges at 14.4 then it says it's ok. This is assuming a 15ft length, with a class D 80% efficient amp.
