how to wire a 4 ohm sub?

I have a 15" L7 4OHM solo-baric and I was wondering if any 1 can tell me the best way to wire the speaker to a Kicker 1200.1 amp? I want the best way to wire the speaker without it getting beat on?

umm positive to positive and negative to negative

umm.. one wire from the +'ve on the speaker to the +'ve on the amp and one wire from the -'ve on the speaker to the -'ve on the amp.
