How to wire a 2 channel amp to one subwoofer

hey i have a question how would i wire a 1500w 2 channel amp to a dual 2 ohm subwoofer correctly?do i link the negatives together and the positives to the amp?

and wut ohm is it? since the sub is a dual 2 ohm then you can only wire it at 1 ohm or 4 ohm so it dependes if your amp is 1 ohm stable

take one set of coils to one channel and the other to the other channel

agreed so you should wire them up like this

im pretty sure i read some where that this is a bad idea....i could be wrong though!!!

It is...mainly because you can't get the settings right, if the amp is 2 ohms per channel, it'll probably bridge to 4 ohms, so wire the sub in a series.

That's your best bet.
