How to wire 2 dvc type r

Hey I have 2 Alpines 12' type r's (swr 1221d) in a Sealed chambered box with a pile pla3000d amp. and was wondering how to properly wire these subs to get the most out of my amp (specs below)

400 watt rms at 4 ohms mono

800watts at 2ohms

1200 watts at 1.3 ohms.

2400watts max

the subs are 300rms and 1000 max

This is all you can do, and you should be at 800 watts.

my box has 2 different sets of terninals and this is how i have it hooked up now just using each set of terminals should i bridge the terminals and just use one of each oustide the box? and i had it hooked up like just in paralell i guess like positiveto positive and then to the terminal then same for negative off of each sub and it sounded louder then it does now. that doesnt make any sense does it?

You need to take the subs out the box and make sure the voice coils are wired like the pic. The amp should already be internally bridged, so that means you should be able to use all positives and negatives. Hook the negative and positive up to the amp the regular way from each speaker. The amp looks similar to a 2ch amp, but there are 2 positive and 2 negatives for ease of wiring. Let me know if you still don't get it?

Yea I did that I took them out and wired them like that today actually, because before i had them wired for i guess what would be four ohms?when they are just wired together like positive on positive then off to the terminal etc. but i dont know why its not as loud as it was before, when it was wired like that

The other way you had it was 0.5ohm, that's why it sounded louder. Your amp is not supposed to be 0.5ohm stable.

well then 2 ohm like you said is the only safe bet with the poor electrical its on

yea I want to get it to two ohms, or is ther eanyway to get it to 1.3? cause its 1 ohm stable

well whatever the best way would be im assumin its 2 ohms.

With your subs you can only get 2ohm or 0.5ohm.
