how to wire 2 dvc to 1 ohm in a ported box

if each sub is SINGLE 4 ohm, it would be 2 ohm mono,which will put out amps 1 ohm power rating,or is your amp a mono block?

if it is 1 channel amp, needing to be ran at 1 ohm, 2 ohm power is all u will get out of it with 2 single 4 ohm subs

You can connect the +'s outside the box, same with the negatives, then run the single + and the single - to the amps sub channel.

We know how to wire subs man, we are telling you he has DVC subs, not SVC.

2ohm mono is same output as 1 ohm stereo

How do you figure? Last I knew, the difference in mono and stereo was the lack of a left AND right signal in mono. Modern physics tells us that I=V/R, so unless stereo changes something, then it wont be the same.

Plain and simple my friend, may not be the best but very simple.

BTW, I know I only used a SVC sub in that pic, but all you gotta do is take all the positives and connect em to the positive terminal somehow. If you must ghetto rig it, make sure you use electrical tape to help prevent any unwanted fires.

are there 2 sets of speaker connections? if so just wire each sub to 2 ohms then connect one sub to each set of connections.

i dont think its gonna be like the Vipers and Directeds since it is a 5channel amp. I knew what you were gettin at though.

actually the bx 1605d is a mono amp 1600wrmsx1@1ohm and i looked at the hifonics website and it appears to have 2 sets of connections on it. so just wire each sub to 2 ohms then connect each sub to each connection=1 ohm

2, DVC 4ohm drivers.

R=(1/r)+(1/r)+(1/r)+(1/r)

So (4^-1)(4^-1)(4^-1)(4^-1)

=1
