just splice the brake wire into the ground wire.

it may need a switched ground signal...

go to http://www.termpro.com and go to there forums under source units i did a how to by pass a jensen with the switched input

I'm told by another member that grounding the parking brake wire wont work on this unit.

I'm installing a new HU right now and I wanted to verify that I was understanding this correctly. It's a JVC unit into a Toyota and I'm using a wiring harness. So does this mean that I can crimp together the ground from the wiring harness together with the ground from the HU and the parking brake wire from the HU and it will work properly? I don't have to seek out someplace else to ground the parking brake wire?

Just to confirm it myself... I did this and it worked just fine for my JVC KD-AVX2.
