help w/Alpine choice

right now i have the Alpine 7893 that i havent installed yet, my question is i have an ipod i want to install but should i or can i even install my ipod to the 7893 or should i just upgrade to another Alpine HU or any other HU? any help would be great because i dont know much about HU's.

i also have a 500/1 and a 12w6 if it matters any...

I am not too sure if a 420i would work on that. .. but that would be the only device that would allow you to sync it with the ipod that will allow you to control it from the dash.

one the new decks the full speed is a good choice, way faster than the 420i i think. on my 9853 and 9855 i use a peripheral interface that charges my ipod and disables the volume on the ipod but still lets me control my music from the ipod. works flawlessly.
