how to vent/port the rear deck?

my rear deck rattles and lifts real bad when i crank up my music. i've read around that you can port the rear deck, but what exactly does that involve? do i just take the carpet cover off and cut a slot or a hole? how large should the hole be? how much of a difference would this make?

it would be tight but make sure you get it done by a professional...

You port your box through the rear deck, and its no cake walk. A quick and easy fix to "port" your rear deck would be to take out the speakers on said deck and just run a strong front stage. Porting through the real deck takes a bit of planning, prep and good measurments. I've done one, and am waiting on said customer to come home to finish it up...

i heard the BL's for a second during SBN,

he mentioned to me earlier he might put BL's back in....

cant wait to hear this with the new port though!

you could port through the arm rest if you have one then more air would go through there it might help it helped me but mine still moves and rattles
