At least it wasn't my DMM...

Help?

On your DMM?

Open it up and there should be a fuse and a fuse holder in it somewhere.

Otherwise radioshack will have a good one.

to title question, you use a DC amp clamp

the typical dmm is only good for 10A

full fielding is jumping 12v to the "field" on the alternator to create full output(alt thinks there is high demand....then you clamp the wire to see what the amperage is
