how to tell if i have a week alternator

when my ac/heat is running and i roll down my windows, the ac slows down

or when my headlights are on and i roll down a window, my lights dim

i want to avoid any future problems

what are some tests i can do to check my alternator

What you should do is take your car to a shop that can load test your alternator for you. This is usually either very cheap or free.

i know Autozone here will test an alternator for free
