How to tame some tweets

I can't seem to get my tweeters to not be sharp at loud volumes. It just hurts the ears with (S) and (CH) vocals, and other random high notes. They can go louder, but those harsh notes keep me from turning them up. I have polk momo 5-1/4 comps, powered by an eclipse xa-4000 (125w X4) I have a pair in each door. I have the cross overs @ -6 for the tweets, but still. They are fairly new with only 20+ hrs break in. Thanks I guess I am asking, what can I do to tame them. Edit: will the EQ's on the amp, wok in stereo mode? They are too bright ! I am not the greatest with car audio. But my deck (eclipse cd3000) is in defeat and the amp has more than enough power, and properly ground. The doors are deadened and powered from KK 12gu. speaker wire. Feel free to suggest anything.

I really Dislike Tweets like that, Only ones I have ever found that sound great are Soft Dome, Or Silk Tweets.

Get a Resister and put it in line with them to turn them down a bit more.
