How to stop infamous Tahoe rear glass rattle?

I know alot of the late model Tahoes and Suburbans with the double rear doors have problems with the glass rattling. My '01 Tahoe is one of them. What is the easiest way to stop this rattle? It's driving me insane.

if you can take the windows off put a nice layer of silicone around the spots then put the windows back up thats how people do it around her just be carfull if you get to much on youll be able to notice it

Its not the window, its the rear vent covers.

I think a guy over at FSC said he put duct tape inside all the holes on the vent covers and that took care of it. Not for sure though

no, the rear vent covers are on the outside of the car. They are the things next to the windows that have all the holes in them. Tomorrow turn your system on, get out and go to the rear and you will hear them vibrating. Push down on them and the vibration will stop and you will know its them. Escalades have smooth vent covers if that helps any.

Ahhhh... I didn't even think about them. I don't notice the rattle unless I'm driving on a bumpy road with the stereo off. It just sounded like it was coming from the rear glass, so I just assumed that's what it was. I knew alot of the Tahoes had a rear rattle, but I didn't think about those vent covers... Thanks man!
