how to root an android phone?

hmmm.... how old is the droid? the droid 1 didnt have the battery capability of the droid x... but it was still superior to other android phones, IMO... maybe your batt is starting to lose charge?

Had it since May 10, could be just running wifi, internet, games etc....

yea... wifi will kill your batt... that and tethering... easiest way to keep it from doing it, is get a widget for wifi control (tons of them on the market) and throw it on your main screen... that way you dont accidentally leave it on

Because none of them work. Why would you add another app to run to save battery when running apps drains it? Think about it.

Or you can use Tasker to create profiles for certain locations, times, etc. For instance if your in your office between 9AM-5PM on Mon-Fri you can set it to turn GPS, Wifi, and BT off during those hours and turn them back on when you leave.

another good point... for me, creating profiles doesn't work, cuz my schedule never stays constant, lol... but if you use wifi, bt, GPS on a regular schedule, it could work really well
