How to put on ring terminals

Well i have 4 ring terminals i need to put on some 1/0 gauge wire and i don't know how to. Can you solder them on there?

you can....or take a hammer to it on your driveway.

you slide em on and crimp them..? you can solder aswell to add strength

solder them. It will look cleaner as well as make a better connection. You just need to make sure you use a torch because a normal soldering iron wont work to well.

I used a vice with a large screwdriver which worked great.

And it doesn't matter how clean the crimp looks if you got the sleeves for'em.

yeah i got the sleeves. But I can't really use a vice because i already have the wire in the car. I just took it to a shop to have them do it but they couldn't with it in the car.

i used a pair of vice grips on mine, then took some solder and soldered around the outside of the ring terminal to hold it in place. i dont have a torch and i tried the soldering iron for the entire thing... i dont recomend it, i sat in my garage trying to do it for 1/2 hour before i said fuk this
