I have a 92 sentra, automatic transmission. My question is: What's the proper way to Launch?

N when u do launch start..is it really that for the tranny?

Im not sure if i've been doing it right, but, I've tried it a couple times. When im on this straight away in my subdivision, I stop, stomp on the break, rev up to 2500-3000RPMs then let go of the break. Is that the right way to do it? Am i doing it right?

Thanx

yes, just hold the brake down give it as much gas as you can with out moveing the car or spining the tires, then when the light turns green let off the brake and floor it

put it in nuetral then tach it out, then drop it down into first. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Dropping straight into 2nd or 3rd will give you a much better launch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

jk dont do that...

if you do the neutral/drive launch, you will destroy your tranny...period. Stock converters will only hold to a certain RPM, like most Chevy's, 1200-1500. But most racers use a larger stall, which get's you into the RPM range faster. I had a 3500 stall in my truck.

Proper way is to footbrake, like mentioned, and just get the car where it is ready to roll, then stomp...

But if you do this alot, your tranny, without the proper aftermarket cooler, will also destroy your tranny.

As you let it stip, and foot stall, tranny fluid rises quickly.
