How to prevent rust on grounds

autoparts stores sell "battery connector protection" that is a dielectric/silicone mix. a great solution and it comes in small packs.
I use that on my batteries in my diesel and I've never had any issues. It sets up to a gel and the heat won't make it run. In the cab I do the liquid electrical tape(2 or 3 coats) because it dries and won't rub off. I paint a small amount of the spray on battery terminal protector in between the ring terminal, body panel, washer and on the bolt threads because moisture over time will travel up them from the outside.
