How to pick a wireless router? Please help!

I am buyin my laptop from Circuit City

And want to buy a wireless router from there also. But there are so many and I am clueless as to what to buy. I don't game much but will prob. be using my wireless router for my PS2 and Xbox shortly. Please help!

this is the router i have. works pretty well. i can anywhere in my house and even outside and get a solid signal.

If you have cable, you can get a modem with a wireless router built in for an extra $5 a month, at least in this area.

Wireless sucks balls... if you can afford to stay wired, I suggest you do.

I have owned alot of routers and I had that one......no offense I took it back the next day I don't care for the linksys and I online game thats not a good choice, I know.

I just took my piece of crap linksys back and got the motorola SBG900 cable modem with built in wireless. It has been connected a little over one week, and according to the modem log, it has not dropped off line one single time. I have my home computer wired direct, and my laptop configured on the wireless.

I have wired for my desktop but the whole fact of being wireless is for laptops for the most part. The whole gaming thing is for a few months when I move out with my friends.

Wireless i fine if you just use the internet and check your mail and stuff.

It sucks for 2-way traffic, or any type of filesharing.

99% of computer users wouldn't care about that, tho.
