how do you open a jammed door on a car??? i have a project here that the latch will not open on the drivers side door any tips on how to get the F R open?

Slim jim. Between the door skin and window there should be two metal linkage bars. One will be the lock the other will be the latch. Grab the latch one and pull or push and the door should pop open.

Take the door panel off if you can. and mess with the linkage.

i did, the linkage has pressure on it but it wont unlatch, I pulled while my friend pushed and pulled on the door and still nothing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and its not locked.

you cant take the door panel off without the door open.

I think the latch itself in rusted shut, pulling the linkage doesnt do anything? Is there another way?
