I drive a 2004 gmc sierra ext cab, with bose stereo, and the center console that comes with it. I basically drove the same truck (2000 chevy Silverado ext cab) when I had my stereo in before.
Now I am looking to put the stuff back into my current truck.
I have a Sundown audio SAZ 2000d, and a Bazooka el460 (4 channel amp). I originally mounted these on the back wall of the first truck, then I built a false floor to hide the amps and wires under, and the sheet of plywood on top was where my sub sat. (sundown Nightshade 18 v2.)
I think it would be really simplistic to be able to take out my center console, and install both amps, and have my audio control 3.1 sit on the outside near my knee on the driverside of the console.
I picture the wiring being really short and clean, considering nothing has to run that far at all.
How hard is this to do? is it worth it? I don't see a lot of cons, except for it actually fitting. Second one being air flow, id worry about it over heating.
thanks
Kyle
