How To Mount Amp And Subs

The first amp is a Kicker ZX750.1 and the other is a Power Acoustik LFA4-840. I am mounting them in a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I would like to mount them on the rear seats in the hatch area, but I'm not sure which way they should be mounted, facing up, down, etc. Also, in what direction would I have the subs facing, towards the front or back and how should I break these subs in, if I even need to?

allso it is better to go easy on new subs because of their stiffness,they do need to be broke in for better sounding lows

no brand new sub should be subjected to an enormous amount of power. a zx750 isn't a real powerhouse but even so you should never blast the sub with as much power as you can when it was just installed.

sorry op not trying to hijack but if im installing my new amp and subs this weekend.. can i set the amp to give full power to my sub but just keep the volume lower and rise over time? or should i set my gains down on the amp and rise those over time?

sub break-in is a myth...I've never heard of issues resulting from "inadequate break-in"

set ur gain RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! play a 0hz tone in ur player with bass and trebble set all the way down! get a digital multimeter and turn the knob up until the dmm reads 60hz.
