how to mod an mtx 1501d

well i can't make new topics atm for some reason.. so .. would this modde amp be good for a XXX 15? and if so, what voltage should I run it at? thanks!

hmm well i removed the cover from my amp and located chip and i tried getting it off with soldering iron. well i was like hmm maybe i gotta take the circuit board all the way off and do it from the backside. well i tried that and the **** soldering iron wont melt the stuff. so wat am i doing wrong?

A lot of people use that setup. As for what voltage to use, if you can keep a steady 14.4 on it, youll be fine.

thanks zach.... dumbguy... you may want to try a bigger soldering gun, and are you using the sucker or just desoldering braid?

try a high power (hotter) soddering iron and use plyers to pull the piece out as you sodder....... i had to do a repair on a memphis 1000D before and the sodder they used on the boards takes some HOT *** soddering guns......good luck man

BTW my xxx15 comes back tomarrow or the next day from it's reconing and my Fmod subsonic filter should come about the sametime too............... YESSSSS
