How to measure amp alternator output?

I bought a 240 amp alternator few months ago and can tell it keeps up with my system way better than my stock. But I'm curious if it's really putting out said amps. No matter what shop I call they all end up telling how to check the volts and not the amps. I already know how to do that. What device is needed to measure the amps output

Thanks guess I'll have to buy one since most of these shops around me don't have these, or even know the difference between amps and volts
they just don't care, not a lot of shops will have a dc clamp unless they're large with high quality work, even then they probably will just say nah because it's not worth their time lol

you can get them for about $120 on amazon
