How to know what kind of RAM you have?

Hey y'all. I just ordered a new HD from newegg, and I realized that I needed more ram. The problem is that while I built this computer, I didn't select the RAM (it was assembled for me as I have zero time during the year), nor did I physically put it together (selected the components). How do I know what sort of RAM I have? I've looked in device manager but can't find it. Any help? I just don't want to get either the wrong type, nor some shitty kingston-ish knockoff.

lol, go to start>control panel> system info/system

you can go to www.crucial.com and do the system scan and it will tell you what kind you have, and how much more you can put in.
