how to hook up my friend system to make it sound the best

My friend has a 1988 bronco. He has a sony exploid deck, 4gauge power wire a 1000 watt v12 2-channel amp. He has 2 15in rockford dvc subs in a sealed box. Right now the subs are put in there own channel and the amp is 1/2 way up i want to know how we can hook this system up and get the most out of the amp and the subs.

what should i do with the amp the subs are hitting good now but i know 2 15in dvc can hit harder than they are, think running them in parallel or doing anyhtin with the amp would help us out? and do you have any i dea what that amp is stable at?

you said the subs are DVC...is that dual 4 or dual 2 ohm?

yes they are dual 2ohm dvc's i was told my amp is 1 ohm stable i have each sub in series then take the 2 positives and 2 negatives and they are bridged into my amp

with two dual 2 ohm subs you can get a .5 or 2 ohm load...now as for your box...what are the subs currently in for size wise? How much space is he willing to give up?

I'm not positive on the dimentions of the box but it takes up the whole back area of the bronco be hind the back seat to the tail gate. The box is sealed and the subs are sealed off from each other. there in different chambers in the box
