How to hide that your not using something that was bought for you?

I had my wife and my kids buy me a set of components and a set of coaxials for Christmas last year. A set of Sound Ordnance 6.5 components and a set of R2 6.75" coaxials. Now don't get me wrong, they all sound great. Believe it or not the Sound Ordnance 6.5 components are great for midrange and the tweeter is not harsh at all. But I have been wanting a little more midbass from the front. So I have been tempted to buy a set of the AL Components to replace the Sound Ordnance. But I don't wanna hurt my wifes feelings. I will be sound deadening the front and rear doors. So I am hoping that will help with the midbass. I could car less whats in the rear doors, as they are just rear fill.

You’ll be fine. My wife bought me a driver and I legit couldn’t hit it straight to save my life so I let my best friend try it and he was bombing it so I just gave it to him. I’m sure there’s plenty of stuff you’ve bought your wife that is buried somewhere never to be seen again lol.
