How to hide screwholes?

I totally disagree with that. Try redoing your box with just glue and see how it holds up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
there are very few screws in my box. And that is only because i dont have enough clamps/weights to do the whole thing at once.

I've done multiple setups screwless, with far more than 1krms.

glue bonds stronger than the wood itself on a clean surface. Thus, theoretically, the wood would break before the glue let the box leak.

done, screws add nothing in regards to strength. glue is what holds your wood together not screws. screws just hold the wood together while the glue cures/dries. this is why you can use brad nails or staples b/c it just needs to hold the wood together long enough for the glue to cure. the reason that ppl use screws/brad nails or staples is b/c most wood is not straight and doesn't line up correctly. if you were right than the glue would not matter b/c the screws are doing the bonding.

No glue bonds it thats correct, if you just used screws like you said wood is not striaght so there would be alot of leaks. Yes glue is the main thing holding it but screws DO MORE than just hold it together while it drys.

if the wood isnt straight enough to use glue as your bonding agent, its time to let someone else build the boxes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

and no, screws are useless as soon as the glue dries.

Go ahead, try it, go take the screws out of your box right now (assuming you properly used glue), and see if anythign changes

Lol actually i do need a new blade but thats beyond the point. how bout you go take the screws out of your box? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I disagree with you but hey to each its own. The fact remains you still got screws in your box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what I mean by wood is not straight is that it has a small give in, but if your wood is not straight to the point of leaks you not cutting it right.

if screws really did more than hold the box together while the glue dries than I can use just regular Elmer's glue. i'm sure I built more boxes last week than you've done ever.

if taking my box out didnt require removing two amps, an amp rack, a beauty panel, a can of foam, 2 batteries plus a battery rack, breaking my silicone seals on the bed panels, and several l-brackets, i would //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

amazing you talking all that shit and yet you don't know what the hell Elmer's glue is, you're an 09'er dick brains. any good builder knows that a good woodglue is what hold your box together not screws. you can't even figure out that to hide screws that you'd use a countersink bit to pre-drill and just fill in and sand yet you gonna talk smack to me.

check this link and you tell me where the screws are if there so important? that is b/c a good wood glue holds your box together not screws.

touchet on you not being the OP, my bad on that one. but you are dead wrong on the screws holding a box together.

Well i bought the wrong Mufukin size router bit so project is off until tomorrow... bringing it back to **** depot.... anyone wanna suggest a good size bit? im using .75 and no double baffle. This is for the sides not the port.

Also...... and here it is...... wood glue is stronger than the wood itsself... but for some, screws do things like let us make it without clamping much because i'm too lazy to own enough clamps..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif all better! Also if your cuts are winding like mine often are..... the screws pull the wood in really nicely and give the glue a perfect place to bond
