i had this same problem with my roomate last year. i just stopped doing the dishes. after 2 or so months of dishes not getting done i just said **** it and changed the locks (there were other problems too). it was a long annoying story. ended up i had to let him back in but i still sued his ***.

There are three of us living in a house with no dishwasher. We have set days to do the dishes on, Monday, Wed, and Fri. The roommate who routinely doesn't do dishes on his day is Wednesday. We've asked him many times, and he always says "I will", but never does, then they pile up.
Other than asking him and just letting the dishes pile up until he does them, what's the best way to get him to do dishes on his day?

Set them ON his desk, or IN his bed...
