How to get the best audio files

I have come to the conclusion I have rattled something loose in my kenwood KDC x998. Anything over 135db the cd skips bad. The last time I had a system in a car worth a dam it was the late 90s early 00. So I have never had to worry about how good my audio files on a USB or any other device were until now. I'm wondering what and how everyone else using USB flash drives are getting cd quality out of it. Every time I use my aux cord or thumb drive the quality of sound isn't half as good as a cd. I'm now forced to figure this out, I really don't wanna send my h.u. In to be serviced and it seems that no one is using CDs anymore anyways. Can someone tell me what and how they are getting the best sound from audio files for your high end equipment? Any input is greatly appreciated

Goggle search artist name and flac, some torrent sites have some or u can use news groups, but if u want to go the legal way then u can find some flac websites that sell the audio files

My headunit won't read Flac files what do I have to convert it to without losing any quality?

U r always going to lose quality when going to a lossy format, u can try m4a at 520kbps that is as close to lossless u can get or most like mp3 320kbps

mp3 is the lowest quality. Flac files are huge. If you convert flac files into wave files that is pretty much equal to cd quality. So that is your best option...but it's a little time consuming finding the right flac to wav converter.

Do you have a link to a good converter I don't mind if I have to pay for the program?

U do not convert flac into wav lol, u convert wav (from CD) to flac, flac is a compressed wav like a zip file so flac is smaller than a wav file
