how to get my headunit on?

hi,

i just changed the headunit in my fiesta, now the factory unty used to come on when i started the car, but my new headunit wont is there something i can doo to make it go on and off when i start and stop the car?

hook up the remote terminal to a switched 12v source (ie a wire that is 12v when the car is on 0v otherwise)

it appears the remote lead is already connected, i always have power to the headunit but i have to manually switch it on and off, if that makes it easier for anyone to diagnose.

did u hook up the yellow and red wire coming from the HU to the same wire?

the red one is supposed to be connected to a source that only gets power when the car is on ACC or ON.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! urns out it was one of the settings which the manual doesnt say anything about, thanks for the help though!
