how to get a higher charge voltage

How do I get it so my alt will charge my batts at a higher voltage? Right now, it charges @ 14.5 v when cold but once everything starts heating up it drops to 14.0-14.1

MLA is the best way. but another way is if u have a good battery (stinger, kinetik C&D ect...) u can take it outta ur car and leave it on a charger for about 30 days nonstop. that "trains" the battery to sit at somewhere around 15.0 to 15.5 thats what i did with my C&D
