This is the way this sub arrived when my brother purchased it during last years group buy. It was never even taken out of the box until I bought it a few months ago to find this. Stupid Fedex. Well i figured JB weld would work but also considered a recone. What do you guys think? would jb weld get the job done?

Your frame is bent, so that driver is basically screwed. You need new soft parts and a new basket.

Your have two options of salvaging the driver:

1) Send it back to RE for a new basket and soft parts

2) Send the driver to someone who can put the motor on a new basket, and has a recone kit.

I'm sure you can easily get a kit from RE, and Fi Audio could probably make one for you as well.

At any rate, JB Weld isn't going to solve that problem. It's also possible that something else was knocked out of alignment, given the amount of force necessary to bend the basket like that, so I strongly suggest either sending it to RE/Fi, or having someone recone it.

Personally I'd send it in, that way they can make sure the motor is still properly aligned, etc.
