how to fix a cracked cone

ok, its a long story how the cone cracked on my Kicker L7 12, but it did.

THE CRACK is almost directly in the center, just a quarter inch above the L7 logo, it is a horizontal crack about 1.5 inches long.

I REALLY DONT WANT TO BUY A NEW SUB, IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN FIX THIS CRACK, PLEASE HELP

If you go to a pro reconing shop, they'll usually have something called "poly prep"... which will treat the poly cone, where superglue or epoxy will stick to it and bond the crack. It's similar to the adhesion promoter that's used to paint over plastic body kits... but it's slightly different, as it's made for polypropylene. Once it's treated, it can probably be glued up...

Without the "poly prep", any glue will just peel off the cone...

ive seen you say "go to a pro reconing shop"....but id sure like for you to explain where those are ....because any pro audio shop that ive ever talked to will not want to touch automotive / car subwoofers. Their main gig is reconing Peavy, Rane, EV, JBL - sh!t they can easily get common blown parts for and make a quick buck.

As far as acutal help, Bob Smith corporation sells a ton of different flavors of CA glue, id suggest the gap filler flavor with adhesion promoter.
