How to fit enclosure in smaller trunk?

I have built a sealed box that I would like to use for my 03 Mustang, the specs would fit nicely within the trunk.

The only problem is that I cannot get it INTO the trunk, either through the back seats (way too small) or the trunk opening.

The only option I see is to assemble the box from within the trunk.

Are there any other options? I have to angle the box at apprx 45 degrees to get it to slide in, but then the box hits the floor of the trunk and I cannot push it in further, no matter how I re-arrange it or by removing the spare tire.

I can build a new box, but not sure how to go about the proper dimensions for this problem and would like to leave building from within the trunk as a last option.

I made an enclosure for a Mustang like the one you describe. It needed to be assembled in the trunk. Pull the carpet up and youll see a lil hump right in the center of the trunk below the rear deck. That hump is for rear axle clearance. Unless you plan on severely bottoming out your suspension, you can take a hammer to it and flatten it out. That will give you and extra 2 or 3 inches.

Here is a draft of what I ultimately built into the trunk and used two 4" ports to fire up thru the rear deck.
