Not sure where to post this, so here for now is good. Should be stickied somewhere. I think this is a pretty valuable link. Especially for us newbs who don't have refs on here yet. This way you can check someones ebay feedback. Hope it helps.

Just type in their ebay username and the captcha thing and your good to go.

eBay references are great to have if your starting off and dont have any...but its honestly not a great representation of someone. When you do a transaction involving eBay and a member pays through Paypal and the seller attempts to screw the buyer by keeping the cash and not shipping the product, eBay and Paypal will always view the case in favor of the buyer. The money is ripped right back outta the sellers Paypal account and if he's already deducted the money and removed his bank info, Paypal just restricts your account so you cant really use it until you pay off your negative balance. Leave the negative balance unattended, it can affect your credit assuming its a large enough sum that its passed off to a collections agency.

With all that being said, as a seller its difficult to actually 'rip someone off'. Not that I ever would, but its much easier to scam someone with a transaction through simply paypal. I could be a great eBay seller...but the second I decide to sell something on here, I could easily scam someone and without eBay behind the transaction, I have a much higher chance of getting away with it. (Again, I would never do anything like this, just saying)

Yep, people on Ebay scam all the time that have good/great feedback.

Yes, this is true. But me being new here, and noticing other newbs, thought it might be better than nothing. I completely understand what your saying, but thought it might be better than nothing. I would rather see 100% feedback on ebay than nothing at all with someone I am dealing with. So for that, I feel it is valuable. Thanks for the input.
