How to find displacement

If I have a box that is supposed to end up with 0.8 cubes and the port needs to be 40" how would I figure out how many cubes that port takes up? I mean the box is 50" so its like 3/4 of the box.

it depends on all the measurements are,

40 inches long (yes)

how wide

40'' x 6'' x 3/4'' / 1728= the displacement per 40'' x 6'' x 3/4 /1728=1.40625
