How to do a regular cab truck install...

i want a reg. cab ranger for my "sq" install. I find that in that small of a space it sounds a lot more realistic. I think with my single 10" IDQ with 500rms and my cdt 6.5s with 110rms a piece and a fully deadened cabin and doors it should sound pretty decent.

well shoot jeeper, no need to go crazy, right? 1 10" will pick up all the lower frequencies, no need for more bass than that. My comps arent sent down from heaven or anything, but i am sure with deadened and sealed doors they should do their job(sound more live than stock). I have the ability to do all this with a passive crossover setup.

I am sure after i have it for a while i will go ahead and run active and get a better deck. After that i wont have anything to do besides maybe switch out equipment or maybe run another 10" idq.

im swappin cabs so its gonna b a bare new shell for the cab im puttin on... couldnt b any more perfect to add my sound deadning.

Thanks for sharing. My buddy wants to do his ranger and this gives us some ideas. Theres hardly any room to work. Do you plan on putting that l7 in there? Cuz he has a twelve that he wants to try but i dont think we will have enough mounting depth.

as for putting that 12 in there i'm not sure on how he's going to do that. if he's like me he only has 11" in height to work with. but i'm gonna do some custom remodeling and basically take out all the plastic in the back and make boxes for the speakers. i would eventually like to run 2 L7's but i think thats a bit extreme

It is a very nice blow-thru. But I assumed the point of this thread was without doing a blow-thru. When you have the whole bed to work with, and can fire into the cabin from outside of it, its not terribly difficult to make it cleaner.

Nothing against the blow-thru shown above however, it looks very nice.
