how to determine tuning

what all do i have to measure and take into consideration to figure out the tuning of my wall? when robin designed it, i think it was tuned @ 33 and then we had to take 1.5" off the top, plus sub displacment and the bracing inside we did. im just curious as to how to figure out the most accurate estimate of my tuning....all the internal bracing is done, all i have to do is resin the corners. my mts have a displacment of .21 cu ft each, so thats .84 cu ft right there from the subs....

someone tell me how to do this:)

shouldnt too much higher. if anything lowering the port area lowered the tuning, and the sub displacement put it back around what you had.

less port area = shorter port. so keeping the same length, lowered your tuning, and made your box bigger by taking off that couple inches, but, you then put your subs in, which made up for lost room. shouldnt have fluctuated much, if any.

would displacment from the bracing effect it as well?
that forumula looks confusing as hell!
Yes, you need to subtract ALL displacments as they will affect the net tuning. Its actually very simple. Imagine having your tuning and needing to find Lv...thats what I deal with everytime I design a box for a friend. TI-83 FTW!!!

If you want...just post the numbers here and I'll crank it out in a minute or two. Just need internal width, height and depth; Port width, height and depth; And the width, height and length on any and all brace pieces...

i have a fwe TI-83+s lol...ill measure tonite and post them up, but if you dont mind, explain to me with the number i post on how to do it, so next time i know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but im off at 930 tonight, so ill measure when i get home.

Nots a problem...I may be out tonight but if I see it before I leave, I'll do some number crunching...I'm a math nerd, what can I say...

Meh to the TI-83. TI-89 Titanium FTW. That little baby made clac classes SO easy.
calc I and II, yes

lin alg & diff eq and multivariable, not so much

but i do love how it can keep track of units for me!

and can store notes from word pad

and the millions of other ways it helps me
