Mention what you want to your dad - if he listens, great - if he doesn't, accept it and make do. It's a new car...do you not see that not everyone your age gets given something like that? That some of us actually hold things called jobs to pay for it?

If you don't like what your dad wants to get you, get a job and show him that you're capable of more than sitting around and leeching off of him.

well it depends what engine he had in his jetta vr6 is supposebly the best engine that vw has built but yeah i guess most people on here are right i prob should be more thatnkfull. its just that he said i have this budget and he'll let me pick the car cause he wanted to buy what i want

they have a phaeton with a V12, or V10 if i'm not mistaken? i'm sure that kills the VR6, and that VVTI is turboable WAY easier than the vr6, the vr6 might be faster out of the box, but just barely, the VW is going to weigh a load more.

if i could go back, i would have gotten the 4 banger eclipse, as it creates more horsepower with 20 grand aftermarket parts than my 6 cylinder will with 50 grand aftermarket parts.

just the way the world works, the vr6 has no room under the hood, plus it's going to cost you big money any time you want to get any work done on that car.

i didnt get a brand new car i got a hand me down and I made the car alot better after i owned it it was fun and a fun project, honestly Brand new cars are nice but i wouldnt be cryin if i got a 2000 model instead of a 2006 i mean honestly its a car it transports u somewhere atleast u dont have to walk or ride your bike and if its not so great, Try to make the best things outta of it.

Wow buddy you have problems, I would be happy if my parents would fill my tank just once. haha, you are getting a free car and are crying like a baby because it aint the one you want, STFU. People are starving all over the world and you cry because your parents won't get you a car you want. Never fails to surprise me. Why do you need a exspencive fast car to drive at first when you don't even have much driving experience, Oh thats right because your parents have money.. I am not trying to sound bitter, I paid for my car sure it aint the greatest but I am proud in what I bought and when people ask me I can say I bought it and that makes me feel good! u guys are weird ill tell u that.ok first of all im not getting a brand new car. second of all umm yeah i wasnt winning that i cant get the jetta vr6..im pretty sure i said ''how can i conivnce my dad to get a vr6'' u can quote me on that one. and last but not least im pretty much paying for everything. im paying for half of my car, insurance, gas and along with maintanence. oh and by the way find were i complained and ill give u that. if u can find it but u all still havent helped me on giving me advice. thx everybody.
